Brendon See, a senior at JSerra High in California, won the boys shot put title with a fifth-round effort of 62-9.50 (19.13m) at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. See secured his first shot put crown after only competing in the discus throw final at last year's state meet, contributing to the Lions finishing second in the boys team competition with 33 points. See became the first male athlete to sweep both shot put and discus championships in the same year since Newport Harbor's Ethan Cochran in 2012.
