Alden Morales, a sophomore at host JSerra High, won the boys 800 meters in a program-record 1:49.91 at the JSerra Invitational at JSerra High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Morales became only the second sophomore in California prep history to run sub-1:50, in addition to just the fifth competitor to achieve the feat nationally.
