Ellie Johnson, a 12th-grader at JSerra High, placed second in the girls small school senior 1.38-mile race at the Fastback Invitational at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. The course consisted of two Valley loops and then up past the mile mark, before making a right turn down National Guard Alley, another right turn on the airstrip and a final right turn into the gauntlet.
